Guitar Lessons Built Around Your Goals
Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or returning after years away, Gainesville Guitar Lessons is designed for adult learners who want practical, encouraging instruction and real progress.

If you’re tired of searching the internet for the next guitar hack, picking up the guitar only to play the same scales and licks over and over with no real progress — you’re in the right place.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, a hobbyist, or someone returning to guitar after years away, we’ll work together to build a plan around your goals.

Do you feel like your guitar playing has hit a roadblock?
Do you find yourself playing the same scales and licks over and over again?
Have you spent countless hours practicing with little improvement?
Maybe you’ve watched endless free lessons and tutorials online—but still feel stuck.
I’ve been there.
I spent years trying to improve, putting in countless hours without seeing real results. I took lessons from teachers who showed me what to play, but never really taught me how to improve. Every time I picked up the guitar, I found myself repeating the same things over and over again.
Eventually, I started to believe I just didn’t have talent.
I could hear music in my head. I knew what I wanted to sound like—but I couldn’t figure out how to translate it onto the guitar. That gap between what I imagined and what I could actually play became incredibly frustrating. Over time, I barely wanted to pick the guitar up anymore. Thinking about playing started to feel discouraging instead of exciting.
Everything changed when I finally found the right teacher—someone who understood not only guitar, but how to teach. For the first time, I learned why I was stuck, how to fix it, and how to practice in a way that actually created progress. Once things finally started clicking, my confidence came back and my playing completely changed.
That experience is the foundation of Gainesville Guitar Lessons. My goal is to help other players break out of that same cycle of frustration and finally start making the progress they’ve always wanted.

Who are these lessons for?
These lessons are designed for like-minded adults who want to learn how to play, what to play, and how to finally make real progress toward their guitar goals. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time, returning after years away, or trying to break through a plateau, lessons are built around helping you reach your goals in a practical and encouraging way.
Am I too old to learn guitar?
Absolutely not. You do not need to start guitar at a young age to become a good player. Many adults make great progress because they’re motivated and focused. Whether you’re starting at 25, 50, or beyond, it’s never too late to learn and enjoy playing guitar.
I’m a complete beginner. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Beginners are always welcome. Even if you’ve never picked up a guitar before, we’ll get you playing your first notes in no time. We’ll start with the fundamentals, make sure you build good habits from day one, and even help recommend the right guitar based on the music and style you want to play.
What if I’ve been playing for years but feel stuck?
That’s one of the biggest reasons students sign up for lessons. Many guitar players spend years repeating the same scales, riffs, and exercises without making real progress. Together, we’ll identify what’s holding you back, fix bad habits, and create a clear plan to help you move forward and finally start seeing results.
Are my hands too big or too small to play guitar?
No — absolutely not! Hand size is rarely the issue. What matters most is correct hand placement, proper technique, and how you hold the guitar to make playing feel as easy and comfortable as possible. We’ll work together to find the setup and approach that works best for you.
Do you teach in-person or online lessons?
All lessons are currently held in person in Gainesville. The small group environment helps students stay motivated, learn together, and still receive personal attention.
How much do lessons cost?
There are several lesson packages available to fit your goals, schedule, and budget. During your free introductory lesson, we’ll discuss what you’re looking to accomplish and find the best option for you.
